Engagement shoot client guide 

NOW YOU'VE BOOKED.....

We can get excited! Please read this guide carefully as it will help you to understand the way we will work together and we'll have the smoothest experience possible. Let's be friends on insta if we aren't already -  @imogenflorencephoto.

ON THE DAY, TIMINGS & PAYMENT 

Please aim to arrive on time and be ready for your pictures - this means we can be settled and ready to go at your scheduled shoot time - I am fairly flexible but I often have back-to-back shoots and this means I must finish on time to be ready for my next clients. If you are late this will run into your shoot time.  I will take the remaining payment on the day of  your shoot via bank transfer or cash and if you want one I will send you a receipt via email.

A few tips to help you get the most out of your shoot:

• What to wear – Your shoot is about the two of you and the connection you share, so choose outfits that make you feel confident, comfortable, and completely yourselves. Soft, neutral tones or pastels photograph beautifully and let your emotions take centre stage, or you can go all out and go for an all-white or full-bridal look! You could also weave in subtle touches of your wedding colours for a sweet nod to your day. Flowy fabrics, linen, and soft knits move beautifully and add a sense of intimacy to your images. Whatever you choose, the goal is to feel relaxed, connected, and ready to simply enjoy each other and the shoot. Comfort is key – If you’re comfortable in what you’re wearing, you’ll feel more relaxed in front of the camera (and it’ll show in the photos). If our shoot requires a bit of walking and you know your shoes might be uncomfortable - bring a pair of comfies to change into! The photos included on this page are real couple's who have booked me for their engagement shoots - take inspo and get excited for your own! 

• Think about your vibe – Do you want your photos to feel soft and romantic, fun and playful, or a mix? Let me know so I can capture it in the best way.
   
• Empty your pockets – Phones, keys, and wallets create unwanted lumps in clothing. If we’re outside, I’m happy to look after your things during the shoot. Same goes with smart watches and hair ties on wrists!
   
• Personal touches – Feel free to bring something meaningful — a blanket you love, champagne to pop, your dog... — to make the shoot uniquely yours.
   
• Relax and connect – Carry on chatting, laughing, and enjoy each other’s company and the shoot! The best photos happen when you’re just being you. Think of it as a date that I'm just tagging along for <3
   

POST SESSION 

Within a week of our session you will receive your unedited images via an online gallery for you to choose your favourites (unless you have the luxe package, where I edit all of the best ones and send them back to you). You can upgrade or choose extra photos at a price of £10.00 per image and if you'd like to purchase larger numbers of extras I will work this out out at a discounted rate. Depending on the final amount of photos chosen, I will edit and send them back to you within 4 weeks after the shoot, and when they are done and delivered back to your gallery I recommend you download the high res images and back them up right away. I will keep your images for 3 months past your shoot but I cannot promise I will have them after this time period is up so please be sure to back them up. 

PLEASE NOTE: I do not give away raws/ unedited photos. the editing process is where the magic happens, and where my artwork comes to life. Giving away unedited photos is like the photographer equivalent of being naked in a busy public place - so preferably not at all. TY for understanding. <3 

CHOOSING YOUR IMAGES
You have a timeframe of 4 weeks to choose your favourite images for me to edit once your proof gallery is sent over. After that, if I haven’t heard from you, I’ll go ahead and pick the best ones myself so I can get your final gallery to you. This just helps keep things moving and makes sure nobody’s left waiting too long!

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE CAN'T MAKE IT?

Don't worry! I know life happens, from sickness to personal stuff and it could happen to me too.  

I offer one reschedule free of charge (pls pls pls let me know as soon as you can, lots of admin, cleaning and prep goes into every shoot) but more than once will unfortunately mean you will lose your deposit. If on the extremely rare ocassion anything happens on my side I will give you as much notice as possible and I will absolutely make it up to you.

Beautifully mounted prints, available in black, white or natural wood frames:

• 6x4" Mounted Frame – £25 each
• 5x7" Mounted Frame – £35 each
• 8x10" Mounted Frame – £45 each

*Frames are made to order and take approx. 2–3 weeks to proces - I will package and post them directly to you.
