We can get excited! Please read this guide carefully as it will help you to understand the way we will work together and we'll have the smoothest experience possible. Let's be friends on insta if we aren't already -  @imogenflorencebaby.

ON THE DAY, TIMINGS & PAYMENT 

We will have a fun, relaxed session, most likely fuelled by tea/coffee and music. 

Please aim to arrive about 5 mins before your scheduled shoot time and be ready for your pictures - this means we can be settled and ready to go at your scheduled shoot time - I am fairly flexible but I often have back-to-back shoots and this means I must finish on time to be ready for my next clients. If you are late this will run into your shoot time.  I will take the remaining payment on the day of  your shoot via bank transfer or cash and if you want one I will send you a receipt via email. 

WHAT TO WEAR 

These are your photos and your memories, so you can wear or dress baby in anything you like, but if you want your pictures to look true to my style then I strongly recommend neutral, earthy tones, pastels and plain clothing as it doesn't distract away from you / bump / baby.

Lighter colours photograph the nicest in my white studio and remain consistent with my editing process and style. Textured clothing like linen, crinkles, floaty dresses and knits look gorgeous in images and I also have a couple of cute baby jumpers you are welcome to use. See below for outfit inspo.

A few tips / things to consider

• What do you want/ not want in your images? Think smart watches, hair ties on wrists, sentimental / non sentimental jewellery...
• Take all of your phones, keys, things out of pockets! If we are outside you can give your things to me to look after
• This one may sound funny, but carry on as normal! Kiss, cuddle, snuggle your baby / each other, talk to me, talk to each other, play, run around, walk, just have fun and the photos will be super natural. Movement and candid moments are key. I will use a few prompts as a guide to direct you or help you to stand where the best light is, but I love to focus on natural, intimate moments instead of posing. For solo shoots I will give more direction if necessary, so don't worry. 
• If you are bringing your toddler/ small child, I find the best way to include them is to just let them be themselves and enjoy the studio and not to worry too much about them posing for shots. I'll capture moments as they authentically happen and we can encourage play/ kisses and cuddles where we can.

POST SESSION 

Within a week of our session you will receive your unedited images via an online gallery for you to choose your favourites (unless you have the luxe package, where I edit all of the best ones and send them back to you). You can upgrade or choose extra photos at a price of £10.00 per image and if you'd like to purchase larger numbers of extras I will work this out out at a discounted rate. Depending on the final amount of photos chosen, I will edit and send them back to you within 4 weeks after the shoot, and when they are done and delivered back to your gallery I recommend you download the high res images and back them up right away. I will keep your images for 3 months past your shoot but I cannot promise I will have them after this time period is up so please be sure to back them up. 

PLEASE NOTE: I do not give away unedited photos. the editing process is where the magic happens, and where my artwork comes to life. Giving away unedited photos is like the photographer equivalent of being naked in a busy public place - so preferably not at all. TY for understanding. <3 

Choosing Your Images
You have a timeframe of 4 weeks to choose your favourite images for me to edit once your proof gallery is sent over. After that, if I haven’t heard from you, I’ll go ahead and pick the best ones myself so I can get your final gallery to you. This just helps keep things moving and makes sure nobody’s left waiting too long!

IF I AM COMING TO YOUR HOUSE...

We will use the room(s) with the best natural light in your home. Living rooms and the main bedroom gives a nice feel to shots, and if you want your pictures to look like my usual style then I suggest white or neutral bedding (this works well for newborn as we can lay baby on the bed). If you have white walls or a plain space this will work well as a backdrop.

Directions:

When you turn onto the village green either before or after the mini roundabout (depending on which way you're coming from) take the immediate right. 

You will see a big barn house on the left, and a house with a green garage on the right. Right ahead of you will see two lanes parallel to each other. You can park on the grass before the lane starts on the left or right hand side. Cherry Trees is down the lane on the right hand side, second from the end. I will usually come up and greet you just before your time slot so you will spot me!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I CAN'T MAKE IT?

Don't worry! I know life happens, from sickness to personal stuff and it could happen to me too.  

I offer one reschedule free of charge (pls pls pls let me know as soon as you can, lots of admin, cleaning and prep goes into every shoot) but more than once will unfortunately mean you will lose your deposit.

Where is your studio?

What if our shoot runs over?

 My timeframes are a guide but not rigid - I really like to stress how relaxed my shoots are. I take into consideration outfit / nappy changes, settling / feeding baby, how many cups of tea consumed... 

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable. To stay true to my style I recommend neutrals. We can do a few outfit changes, too! 

I'd like a home shoot but I'm not in the area - will you travel to me?

Yes, within reason! However, I will charge to cover my time and travel costs - (does not include minis)

When should I book my newborn shoot?

Of course babies can arrive earlier or later than expected - I keep my diary flexible for this reason, so when you book your session I will pencil in your due date and you can let me know when baby has arrived and we will settle on a final date then.

Do you take a booking fee? 

Yes - I take a minimum of £50.00 booking fee for all shoots which will be deducted from the final amount.

How long do I need to wait for my photos?

I usually get SO excited about my photos that I cannot resist sending a picture or two to my clients before the final release of the images, and to help make the wait a little less painful. After you have chosen your favourite images, you will get them back to you in less than one month. (This also depends on how many extra photos are chosen!) I pride myself on communication and I will always let you know if they will be later than expected. 

Can my partner/ children be involved in the shoot?

Of course - although due to the size of the studio no more than 4 people at a time!

Can I buy more images?

You can buy your whole gallery at a discounted rate or you can buy extra images for £10.00 per image.
